WHO WE ARE

The University Programs Council is UVA’s student-led event planning board, entrusted by the University to help shape life on Grounds. We actively seek and encourage ideas while dedicating and challenging ourselves to incorporate the needs and desires of the UVA community as a whole. We bring chart-topping artists, SNL comedians, cultural festivals, beloved animal visitors, local Charlottesville catering, amusement rides, exclusive merch, and other campus-wide experiences to Grounds—all planned by students, for students.

OUR MISSION

The University Programs Council strives to enhance the UVA experience through programming creative, educational and entertaining programs for diverse audiences. Our goal is not simply to host events, but to create spaces where strangers and friends can come together, find connection, and turn Grounds into a place that truly feels like home. And the best part? It’s all free! Every UPC event is open to all UVA students, whether you spend your days on Central Grounds or at the Medical Center.
